Here is the famous Datsyukian deke. Unlike a lot of the dekes I have taught, this one contains a number of complex movements that need to be done in sequence and quickly. You either need very quick hands to make this look good, or practice it about 500 times. In the clip I had probably tried this move about 25-40 times out on the pond first. I have a basic grasp of it, but it’s not silky smooth yet.
Since Datsyuk brought this move to the NHL a number of other players have pulled it off.
