The pull/push does happen, it's just not as exaggerated as during the demonstration. The goal is to get the *feeling* of that pull/push motion, and as you get better you can execute it faster and faster until your hands don't need to move as much in order to get the power that the situation calls for.

Its funny that when you are demostrating you are how to properly do pull/push its done nicely, but that when you combine all the movements and you actually shooting you are not doing it.

Haden here. I also struggle with the Mohawk due to limited mobility. The best advice I can give is:

a) Work on your mobility off and on the ice to slowly improve it
b) Bend your knees more than you think you need to and that really helps to get the feet more in line
c) Focus on shifting your weight to one foot at a time during the Mohawk attempts. This will help mitigate if your toes aren't pointed perfectly in line and is more useful for in game use anyway!

Let me know how it goes and feel free to share a video in the Facebook group if you need more help!

This move I physically have trouble with. My feet are not able to be in the same line due to limited range, even when standing without skates, and when performing on ice the angle is too great and I just spin. Any advice or suggestions on building up to achieving this move?

Hey George. Thank you so much for your kind words! We're glad we could help your thus far.

I'm actually in the process of uploading our Level 3 Skating course which covers the heel to heel, among other crucial skating skills! The heel to heel is a tough one to master but with enough practice I know you'll get there!!

Stay tuned over the next day or two for Skating Level 3!
